Report Crimes With A Free App From The New Bedford Police Department

The new Police Department app is for Android or iPhones, and allows you to send in crime tips from your phone in any of three categories: drug dealing, general crime and traffic issues.  

The tips go to the police anonymously.  You can include your contact information, but it is not required.   The NBPD adds that for emergencies, we should call 911.   The new app is not a replacement for 911, it is for sending in a potential crime tip to detectives.  

The new crime app can be downloaded by searching “MyPD” in the iPhone or Android marketplace.
