‘Real Housewives’ Stars Free On Bond

Joe and Teresa Giudice were in a Newark, New jersey courthouse today for a brief appearance to set bail conditions on their fraud indictment.   On Monday, the stars of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" were charged with 39 counts of fraud, including conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, and bankruptcy fraud.

43-Year Old Joe Giudice, who is from Italy and a U.S. citizen, was released on a $500,000 bond secured by his father, and 41-year-old Teresa Giudice was released on a $500,000 unsecured bond.   Joe faces possible deportation back to Italy.   The couple also surrendered their passports and had all their travel restricted to New Jersey and New York.   Joe Giudice is also accused of failure to file tax returns for 2004 through 2008, a period of time when it's estimated that he earned $1 million.

When the couple arrived at the court at 8:30 a.m., they seemed angry as they were approached by reporters.   "You don't have to stick a camera in my face," Joe told the media.
