‘Power of the Purse’ Coming at Us Virtually This Year and I’m Ready

Much different than years past, the United Way of Greater New Bedford's Power of the Purse event has gone virtual and is happening right now.

In past years, I've enjoyed actually going to the event at a fun location somewhere in New Bedford or on the SouthCoast. But this year, with the social distancing and stay-at-home quarantines happening everywhere, the UW of Greater New Bedford is bringing the Power of The Purse to our homes, virtually.

Because I am pretty savvy and frugal while shopping online and have done a lot of this over the years, I am completely on board with this virtual bidding purse party event. In fact, I feel pretty confident I'm going to score the bag that I currently have my eye on. Since the bidding started on Monday, I've been watching this one particular purse and my game plan is to place my bid somewhat under the radar while nobody is paying attention. I know, sneaky, right?

Like I mentioned, the bidding started on Monday and goes through Thursday with the live finale event happening from 7:30-9 pm for the last chance to bid on your favorite items. Go to their website UnitedWayOfGreaterNB and get yourself registered to bid. It's as simple as that!
