Police are Investigating Weekend Crash On Rt 140

A weekend  Rt 140 crash send's one man to the Trauma Center . State police report that on Saturday November 8, 2014 at about 5:40 p.m., State Police and Lakeville Fire Rescue responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Route 140 South near exit 10 in Lakeville.

Troopers investigating the accident report that 46-year-old Darren Taylor of Lakeville was struck by a 1994 BMW as he was walking across Route 140 South to assist another motorist who had crashed in the median in that area. He was transported from the scene by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center for treatment. He is reported to have sustained serious injuries.
