Relax, relax, relax. That rumor that Nicki Minaj filed a restraining order against DJ Khaled after his public proposal (and painfully obvious publicity stunt) is false. Her Minajesty's wigs are more real than those rumors, yo!

The reports that Minaj responded to the proposal by involving authorities and obtaining a protective restraining order were blown up and out of proportion in the media after the fact.

DJ Khaled tweeted that it didn't happen.

Additionally, Hollywood Life spoke to the NYPD, which confirmed that Minaj did not involve the cops nor did she file the restraining order. She has not come forward with a complaint and for a restraining order to be filed, an arrest must be made, which has not happened.

Khaled asked Minaj for her hand while on MTV, complete with a $500,000 engagement ring. He said (or pleaded, depending on your POV), "Nicki Minaj, I’m at MTV, I’m going to be honest with you; I love you. I like you, I want you, I want you to be mine. Nicki Minaj, will you marry me?”

Khaled has an album to promote and this move is certainly grabbing attention.

While all he does is win, win, win, according to his biggest hit song – which plays ad nauseum at sports arenas— he has not won Minaj's heart or her hand. She may not file a restraining order, but we don't think she'll be Mrs. Khaled anytime soon.

Nice try, though.
