New Bedford Teachers Claim More Student Assaults, Administration Questions Why Alleged Assaults Are Going Unreported [AUDIO]

Four New Bedford public school teachers appeared on the Fun Morning Show today to share stories about student on teacher assaults that they say continue to happen on a regular basis.  The teachers also talked about an unsupervised section of the high school that was shutdown that became a magnet for student violence and sexual conduct.

Audio from the teachers' 3 segments on the Fun Morning Show can be found in the YouTube videos below.  A spokesperson for New Bedford Public Schools called Fun 107 with the district's response.  Jonathan Carvalho wondered if the people on the air were really, in fact, teachers.  He also challenged the teachers' claims that violence and sex were happening in a closed portion of the school.  Carvalho said the reports have to be inaccurate because no part of New Bedford High School is closed.  Audio from his call to Fun 107 can also be heard in the fourth YouTube video below.
