It was just after 4 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon when 2 men walked into Correa Jewelers at 1638 Acushnet Avenue at robbed the store.   One of the robbers jumped over the counter and tied up the female employee.   Police say the two took a large amount of jewelry and fled through the back door.

One of the men was dressed like a woman, wearing a wig, spandex leggings with flowers on them.   He is described as having a thin build.  The other man was wearing a T-shirt and has a ponytail.

A man who was walking by the store saw what was happening and called 911.   The employee was not hurt.

Police say the two men left in a car that was parked near the store.    No weapons were shown and there were no other customers in the store at the time of the robbery.
