NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) —  New Bedford Police have arrested a Brockton man on gun charges following a traffic stop in the South End.

On May 4, an officer was on patrol in the Blue Meadows housing development area when police said he observed a vehicle with heavily tinted windows.

The officer followed the vehicle as it traveled on Rockdale Avenue before stopping in the Dunkin' parking lot.

Two occupants were in the vehicle, and the passenger was identified as Jazziah Grisset-Watson, 20, of Brockton.

Police said that a result of the investigation that followed, Grisset-Watson was found to have a loaded, .40-caliber Smith & Wesson handgun for which he did not have a license.

Grisset-Watson was placed under arrest and charged with a variety of offenses, including unlicensed possession of a high-capacity firearm and ammunition.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for excessive tint on the windows and allowed to leave the scene. The driver was not identified by police.
