A winter storm watch begins Sunday evening and lasts through Monday night. This storm could bring upwards of six inches of snow within a 12 hour period and eight or more inches within 24 hours.

The areas affected by this winter storm include Providence, Taunton, Brockton, Plymouth, Fall River, New Bedford, Mattapoisett, Bristol, Newport and other communities along eastern Rhode Island and the South Coast.

If you plan to be on the road this weekend, be sure to monitor later forecasts and be ready to alter your travel plans should this storm really take off.
