Miss New York, Mallory Hagen, Crowned 2013 Miss America

The country has found their latest beauty queen, and it's a 23-year-old from Brooklyn, NY who owns the title now.

Mallory Hagen beat out Miss South Carolina, and Miss Oklahoma to win the title. She wasn't afraid to shy away from tough subjects either. She was asked about armed guards in schools, and the issue she raised had to do with child sexual abuse - something her mother encouraged to pursue.

With her Miss America win, Hagen receives a $50,000 college scholarship. She'll also now serve as a great role model to the nation, and to many young girls.
