Many people know him as Mr. Schuester on Fox's Glee, but Matthew Morrison is also an accomplished Broadway star as well.  On Saturday night, he joined the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra as they kicked off their brand new season at the Zeiteron Performing Arts Center.

The show began with a great performance by the NBSO, under the direction of Dr. David McKenzie.   Their playlist included a suite of songs from Harry Potter that was absolutely incredible.

After a short intermission, they brought Matthew Morrison to the stage, and he proceeded to wow the audience with some of the best shows tunes, including songs from Sinatra,  West Side Story, South Pacific, plus Leonard Bernstein songs and even and "Sway" from Glee.

Morrison joked with the audience, saying he is not really a high school teacher, he only plays one on TV.   He said he loves doing Glee, because it exposes great music to a new generation who would probably never have the chance to hear it.
