$6M Mattapoisett Home From Netflix Series Hits the Market

Last year, the SouthCoast was buzzing when news that a new Netflix series was filming in the area.

The Perfect Couple, a miniseries starring Nicole Kidman, Dakota Fanning, Liev Shreiber and Eve Hewson, is set in Nantucket, but a sprawling Mattapoisett home was also used as a setting for the show.

That home has hit the market for a whopping $6.4 million.

Miniseries The Perfect Couple Coming to Netflix

Some top-tier Hollywood talent was recruited for this upcoming series set in the island town of Nantucket.

The IMDb description reads:

When one lavish wedding ends in disaster before it can even begin – with a body discovered in Nantucket Harbor just hours before the ceremony – everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect.

In September of last year, Nantucket was transformed into a movie set with a 50-person crew flocking to the island to film B-roll, but production was quickly disrupted by SAG-AFTRA picketers.

“Essentially, the word was out that the production was looking for people who were just driving cars,” Deadline noted. “That’s a union actor’s job being taken away.”

Multimillion-Dollar Mattapoisett Mansion Will Set the Stage

While production was halted, the miniseries is still listed as having a release date of 2024.

Before its production was shut down during the strike, the production crew rented a luxury home on Goodspeed Island in Mattapoisett to film a few scenes, and it’s the epitome of a stunning seaside estate.

Listed by Demakis Family Real Estate, this “once-in-a-generation home” is a custom-built, self-contained compound at 3 Goodspeed Island Road in Mattapoisett with a price tag of $6,350,000.
