Massachusetts Boy Who Got Thousands of Birthday Cards Passes Away
A Massachusetts boy who received thousands of birthday cards last year has lost his battle with cancer.
Last July five-year-old Danny Nickerson wanted nothing but cards for his birthday and hundreds of people made that wish come true.
Nickerson ended up receiving thousands of cards, so many in fact that his mailman in Foxborough said Danny got more mail in one day than the rest of the entire town combined!
Nickerson had been battling a rare, inoperable brain tumor and doctors gave him about 18 months to live. Sadly that time line seemed to be spot on as his mother posted on the Danny's Warriors Facebook page that Danny had passed away at home on Friday.

Unfortunately there's no such thing as privacy and respect for feelings anymore. I was waiting to make sure all members of our family knew before I broadcasted it to the world.
My precious sweet boy earned his angel wings earlier this afternoon after a courageous 18 month battle. Our lord came and carried his body to heaven. His body was so tired of fighting. He is now cancer free and running and playing and laughing with God and all of the other precious children.
Prayers are needed for all of us right now. Please surround us in your prayers."
Hearts and prayers are definitely going out to the family.
