New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has told the New York Post that the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects planned to set off 6 of their leftover bombs in Times Square.

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev originally told the FBI that he and his brother were heading to New York City to party, but later changed his story and admitted to FBI agents that he and his brother planned to drive a stolen car to New York on Friday and set off the remaining bombs.

Instead, those bombs were used to combat pursuing police on Thursday night/early Friday morning last week.
