Gillette Stadium is about to be lit.

Not by the sounds of screaming football fans, but by the most impressive display of LED Christmas lights, brought to Massachusetts by FunGuy Events for the very first time.

The Magic of Lights website explains that this unique and festive event allows you to drive through an elaborate holiday display of LED technology and digital animations. The mile-long display will transform Gillette Stadium into a winter wonderland, a far cry from a typical showing during football season. It will bring some of your favorite Christmas characters and memories to life.

There are some themed portions of the ride where "guests will enjoy the brand new drive-through Blizzard Tunnel and Magic of Lights favorites including the 12 Days of Christmas, Winter Wonderland and the Night Before Christmas, all from the safety of their own vehicle." You could pack your car with your closest friends, but I noticed they have limo and party bus pricing as well, so I might take that suggestion and show up to the dazzling drive-thru in style.

This is the perfect event to take over Gillette Stadium this year because it is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Back in March, people began putting up Christmas lights as a way to spread joy during a dark time. Now, during the Halloween season, there are countless light displays, showing that the people of the SouthCoast are ready to spread positivity and end 2020 on the bright side.

Tickets for the Magic of Lights go on sale Friday, October 16 here.

The show will take place Nov. 13, 2020 through Jan. 2, 2021 from dusk through 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from dusk until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

You can take advantage of their "early bird" pricing of $25 per vehicle for the month of October. After October, admission is $35 per vehicle Monday through Thursday and $35 Friday through Sunday, with special limo and party bus prices.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate, but they are cheaper online.
