An East Bridgewater mother turned to Facebook to help find her missing 15 year old son.

Erik Pina of East Bridgewater left home around 3 p.m. on Sunday and did not return. East Bridgewater Police and Massachusetts State Police searched a wooded area behind the Old Colony YMCA on Monday evening after a tip and found nothing.

His mother, Amy Pina had been posting on Facebook about her son and was trying to get information on his whereabouts and it worked!  This morning, Amy had this to say to Fun 107, "I would like to thank the East Bridgewater police dept , the state police, our many friends and family, the wonderful members of my community as well as complete strangers via social media. The people that went out on foot to search, that kept their eyes peeled while out and about, the numerous messages, the Facebook shares, the media, visitors, food dropped off, prayers, kind words etc etc. I cannot thank them enough! Ultimately, Erik brought himself home the same way he left, he came through the bedroom window. We have a long road ahead of us but Erik is surrounded by so many people that love him and together we will help him along. Thank you."
