There will be no party rocking with LMFAO anytime soon. The uncle-nephew duo of Redfoo and SkyBlu are splitting... for now. They are taking a break from all that party rocking on order to pursue other interests.

Redfoo, who is working on his own line of tennis attire, revealed that the 'Sexy and I Know It' pair will be on hiatus. "I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years," Foo told news.com.au. "And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time."

He used the term "forcing," which makes us think things weren't fun for the duo any longer, especially after they exploded and made a huge splash on the synth pop scene. Mo' fame, mo' money, mo' problems, even when you are a party rocker.

Redfoo (the uncle) also said that he and SkyBlu (the nephew) were headed in different directions and that he wasn't sure if or when they would ever get back together in a musical sense. Obviously, they'll always be family, because they are biologically related.

Foo will, however, continue to party rock on his own, as he embarks on a solo career. "All the music that I’m going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish," he said. "I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music."

So while the LMFAO light may dim, the party rock mission will remain in tact.

PopCrushers, are you bummed by this split?
