Little Theatre of Fall River Presents “Fiddler on the Roof”
The Little Theatre of Fall River opens its 81st season with a Broadway classic.
As the longest consecutively running theatre company in the country, the Little Theatre of Fall River presents "Fiddler on the Roof" at Bristol Community College this week. Beginning rehearsals in July, the 30+ cast members are ready to bring this classic tale "to life" (pun fully intended)!
"Fiddler on the Roof" tells the story of Tevye, a poor Jewish milkman living in 1905 Imperial Russia with his wife and five daughters. The original Broadway production premiered in 1964 and created classic songs like "Tradition", "Sunrise, Sunset" and "Matchmaker".
Little Theatre's "Fiddler" features long-time theatre veteran and Fall River resident, Gary Bigelow as Tevye with other supporting actors coming from Amesbury, Massachusetts to Middletown, Rhode Island. The show is directed by Paula Arruda, with stage management, costumes and set design by Aaron Gendreau-Visco and with musical direction and choreography by Bobby Perry.
