JR and Michael Rock To Host 60th Miss New Bedford Pageant

JR and I are proud to be hosting the Diamond Anniversay 60th Miss New Bedford Scholarship Pageant on Sunday afternoon at Keith Middle School.  In honor of the special anniversary, many Miss New Bedfords of the past will be in attendance, including Miss New Bedford 1999, Michelle (Neves) Hantman.  Here's a flashback picture of Michelle on the rooftop of the McDonald's on Hathaway Road.  I was in the middle of a fundraiser for the Buttonwood Park Zoo.  I pledged to camp out on the roof until I raised $10,000 for the zoo's renovation.  I think Michelle brought be up a double cheeseburger.

The Miss New Bedford Pageant is packed with tradition, including her first appearance.  It is always on the Fun 107 Morning Show.  Good luck to all contestants!
