Johnny Depp Will Play Mobster Whitey Bulger

Get your cameras ready everyone... Johnny Depp is town.

The cast and crew of "Black Mass", the film version for the book of the same name about the mob boss Whitey Bulger will be filming in the Boston area for 52 days beginning Monday. They will film at about 100 locations around the city and surrounding areas, according to the Boston Herald.

Some local actors made the cut and Scituate native, Erica McDermott, is set to play the role of Mary Bulger, Billy Bulger's ex-wife.

The crew has transformed the Polish American Citizens Association in Cambridge into a replica of Whitey's famous hang-out "Triple O's"

Depp is hoping this movie will be a big hit at the box office since his most recent films have not done so well.

You have to wonder if Whitey will be allowed a private screening in his Plymouth cell.
