After 40 years buried in sand, a Jeep Wagoneer was pulled free on Friday. See what it looks like now.

Police and press were on hand in Truro on Friday afternoon when the Jeep Wagoneer that was entombed in sand was finally removed.

The Jeep was inside a garage that was overtaken by a sand dune back in the 70s and at first town officials refused to let the family that owned it remove it from the sand. After a change in approach to shifting sand systems, the Jeep was allowed to be pulled from from the sand. And lots of people wanted to watch it happen.
