It seems the Patriots can't win this season when it comes to keeping back-up quarterbacks healthy.

Sources tell ESPN that Jacoby Brissett injured his hand during the game against the Texans on Thursday night and is now scheduled to have surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.

Of course the Patriots themselves have not commented on the news and any word on who that would leave to play in the game against Buffalo on October 2nd has not been mentioned either.

Garappolo was listed as a possibility for the TNF game at Gillette, but ultimately Brissett was the started.

Presumably it would be back to Garappolo for the last game of Brady's four game suspension...which for many fans can't be over fast enough!
