I have purchased my second juicer or food processor. Yea , The first one I bought didn't last to long and  i think it ended up in the basement after sitting on top of the refrigerator for a year or so . I need to consume more veggies but i can eat them so let me try juicing again.

Here’s the thing about juicing. It’s got a pro and a con, and the pro are huge and the con is small. When you throw a bunch of fruits and vegetables into a juicer or into a food processor that makes liquid out of everything you gain a ton of nutrition. You’re getting all the antioxidants, all the anti-inflammatories, all the phytochemicals, all the catagens, anything that’s found in that food you’re going to get and most people don’t consume those nine servings a day of fruits and vegetables that we all put up as an ideal. So, that is a terrific way to get a really big variety of nutrients and a big nutritional bang for your buck.

The only con to juicing is that you lose the fiber. And fiber’s really, really important. So, you got to balance those two things. My ideal prescription is to juice and eat the whole fruits and vegetables wherever you can. But I think that juicing really has a place in the health regime, because again the huge amount of nutrition, the fact that it’s fairly easy and fairly quick. And if you’ve got teenagers in the house you can disguise a lot of foods that they will not eat by simply putting them into a juicer. For years, you know, we’d put broccoli in there, but if you put a little apple, and carrot, and some ginger and stuff they won’t even notice the broccoli. So, it’s a great way to get kids to eat stuff that they wouldn’t eat otherwise. Good Luck
