Monday night's win in Worcester was one of the biggest in Old Rochester basketball history.  It propelled the team to their first State Championship game in 9 years.  Relatively speaking, 9 years is not a ton of time in between championship appearances.  In fact, if the Bulldogs win this weekend, it will only be their second boys basketball championship in the school's history.

Looking back at that 2015 championship run, it featured a future Big 10 guard, Noah Fernandes from Rutgers, who was a freshman at ORR at the time.  Those boys, led by Head Coach Steve Carvalho, brought the school's first boys basketball title to the Tri-Town.

This season, Carvalho told us that the team overcame losing four of their five starters from last year, but they rose above it and proved they deserved a shot at the championship.

We've already seen some Tri-Town businesses with marquees showing support for the boys, and we're loving every minute of it.

We wanted to show our support here at Fun 107, but unfortunately, we don't have a marquee sign.  What we do have, though, is a huge radio station and an interactive app.  So here's what we thought would be fun.

We're inviting Bulldog fans to record Bulldog Basketball Shoutouts to the team, using the Fun 107 app.  It really is simple to do.  Here's how to record one:

1.  Download the free Fun 107 app to your phone.

2.  Open the app, and hit the dropdown menu in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

3.  Select "Submit Audio."

Take a minute to send in audio of you and your friends/family wishing the team good luck!  Give a shoutout to your favorite player, shoutout the coaches, or get the Dog Pound going with your favorite chant!  We could play your messages on the air and even include them in a Old Rochester basketball commercial we're making for the basketball team.
