Winter got you down? You aren't the only one. Turns out there is a reason for your feelings of depression, and we have some helpful hints to help you get over it.

Winter time depression, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, is mainly caused due to a lack in our energy. Energy, as we all know, has a lot to do with vitamin D. We get most of our vitamin D form the sun. Unfortunately in the winter time, the sun kind of disappears behind clouds and what not.

Fear not! There are other ways to get that energy, or at the very least trick your body into feeling like you have. You could check out a tanning salon. A nice healthy glow might do the trick, and at least make you forget about the cold for a while. We recommend Tan after Tan in Swansea. Great people there.

If tanning isn't for you, there other ways to boost your energy and moral. Some suggestions include:

  • Letting more light into your home or office
  • Go for a walk
  • Go on a small vacation somewhere warm
  • A doctor might be able to recommend some light therapy

If all else fails, just remind yourself that it' only for a couple of months anyway. Soon, we'll be basking in the sunlight and complaining that it's too warm.
