Officials in Westport are currently investigating a fatal house fire that took place late Saturday night.

UPDATE: Monday, December 21 - 9:45 a.m. -

The identities of the victims of the fire have officially been released. The 4-year-old who lost his life in the house fire was Caleb Nardolillo. His mother, Melody Nardolillo, 32, and 7-year-old sister Bella Perry are still hospitalized with injuries sustained from burns and smoke inhalation.

Massachusetts State Troopers in partnership with the the Bristol Country District Attorney and the State Fire Marashal's, and the Westport Fire and Police Departments are still actively investigating the fire.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sunday, December 21 - 9:00 a.m. -

Crews responded to the house on 9 Mount Pleasant Street in Westport at 11 p.m. for a reported fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found the home with heavy fire on both floors.

Unfortunately, a 4-year-old was not able to escape and was found deceased in his bedroom on the second floor. The two other occupants of the home were able to escape and taken to the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation. A third person who had attempted to save the child was also treated at the hospital along with a firefighter who was treated and released for smoke inhalation.

Officials remained at the residence until early Sunday morning and members of the State Fire Marshal's are conducting their investigation.
