Heroin And Cocaine Seized In Traffic Stop By Fall River Police

Fall River PD stopped and arrested a New Bedford man on Rhode Island Ave in the city over the weekend.

The Herald News reports that police got a search warrant for the vehicle and discovered 20 bags of heroin and 1 bag of cocaine along with just over 1300.00 in cash.

Police arrested Ryan Garcia of 15 Columbia Street in New Bedford, who allegedly admitted that the money the police seized was from drug sales.  He also allegedly admitted to selling drugs so he could meet his child support obligations.

Garcia was charged, released on personal recognizance and is due back in court on May 16th.
