Rumors of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's impending divorce may have turned out to be false after all, but they certainly served as a nice distraction from the surprising breakup of another Hollywood couple. It looks like Gwen Stefani has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Gavin Rossdale, ending their marriage of 13 years.

According to TMZ, Gwen is citing the usual "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their breakup. The site goes on to say that both Gwen and Gaving are asking for joint custody of their three children -- nine-year-old Kingston, six-year-old Zuma and one-year-old Apollo.

The couple released a joint statement about the split to PEOPLE, saying, "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment. To that end, we respectfully request privacy from the media during this time."

Apparently, Gwen and Gavin did not sign a prenup when they were first married, which means the pair’s finances will be evenly divided, as per California law. Gwen is reportedly worth around $80 million, while Gavin is worth about $35 million. Gwen reportedly does not want to pay Gavin spousal support, saying as much in her divorce filings.

The news of their split follows a slew of other separations that have happened over the past few months. The aforementioned Will and Jada Pinkett divorce rumors were circulating like crazy earlier today, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick announced their breakup just a few weeks ago, and even Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck ended their ten-year marriage earlier this year. Reba McEntire and Narvel Blackstock also announced the end of their 26-year-long marriage just a few hours ago, leading us to believe that love really is just a myth.
