Remember the feeling of going back to school? You'd try to hide the nervousness in your stomach as you boarded the bus and walked into your classroom, hoping to see some familiar faces.

For many of us, those nerves were offset by a new outfit, a new pair of sneakers, and fresh school supplies in your backpack. There weren't many problems on that first day that couldn't be solved by a fresh package of Crayola crayons.

For too many kids here on the SouthCoast, however, there won't be new crayons in their backpack. In fact, there won't be a backpack. That's why we've organized a very important school supply drive this Saturday.

Please help us this Saturday as we collect school supplies for kids that really need them in the Greater Fall River area. We are joining up with the United Way of Greater Fall River and the Rotary Club of Fall River to collect the supplies.

The drive is happening from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Fall River Walmart. Say hi to Jackson, who will be broadcasting live, as you walk into the store. He'll have tickets to see the Jonas Brothers for one lucky person who makes a donation on Saturday.

We'll be looking for pens, pencils, highlighters, binders, filler paper, notebooks, rulers, sticky notes, Sharpies and more. Your donations will help fill backpacks for kids in need that are heading back to school here on the SouthCoast.

Big thank yous to our sponsors of the Fun 107 School Supply Drive, including:
