Mixed frozen vegetables are being recalled across the country due to a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

CRF Frozen Foods of Pasco, Washington has voluntarily recalled over a dozen different frozen vegetable items that could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can sometimes cause fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly adults and anyone with a weakened immune system.

Listeria infection represents as high fever, nausea, severe headache, stiffness, abdominal pain and diarrhea and can cause miscarriages or stillbirths in pregnant women.

Listeria was found in the CRF Frozen Foods products during routine testing by health officials in Ohio and though no illnesses have been reported to date, the company immediately recalled all items that had the potential of being contaminated.

Those items are:

The items were reportedly shipped between September 13, 2015 and March 16, 2016 and may have been distributed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, among other states.

If you have any of these products in your home, you are urged not to consume them, but to take them back to the store of purchase for a full refund or to simply discard them.
