The annual Fluff Festival is back this Saturday and it's full of sticky good times.

If you love a good peanut butter and Fluff sandwich, then you will probably enjoy the 2017 What the Fluff? Festival happening this Saturday, September 23rd, from 3-7p.m. in Somerville, MA.

The festival is an annual event put on by Union Square Main Streets to pay homage to Achibald Query, the man who mastered the recipe for Fluff in 1917.

Query initially went door to door with his tasty concoction, selling his product until the sugar shortage caused by World War I shut him down.

Query then sold his Fluff recipe to a candy company and they brought the white sandwich spread to national fame.

Still the folks in Somerville like honoring their hometown inventor with a day of music, games, crafts and all things marshmallow...including a Fluff cooking contest with prizes for best traditional fluff recipe, best original recipe, most creative presentation, best youth entry, and best overall grand prize.

That's a cook-off I'd be happy to taste test for!
