Fitness Blogger Posts Emotional Domestic Violence Video

An Irish Fitness Blogger took to Facebook to post a heartbreaking video about Domestic Violence.

Emma Murphy uploaded the following video to Facebook yesterday in hopes of spreading awareness about Domestic Violence. It was posted after she broke up with her partner and father of her children after he allegedly was violent with her.

Murphy is just 26 years old. She was in a relationship for three years and she has two children with her abusive ex-boyfriend.

In the video Murphy says what many girls who have been abused say. She talks about how she thought that he was “the love of her life.” She talks about how they had ”ups and downs,” and how she will “cherish the ups, and won’t miss the downs.”

Her heartbreaking story continues as she opens up about finding out that he had cheated on her, resulting in him fathering a child with another woman. But, she loved him with all of her heart, and even though he got another girl pregnant, she took him back.

Her story is much like that of other girls who suffer from Domestic Violence. She would confront him about his choices and he would fight back, sometimes physically other times with his words. He would call her crazy, saying that her “insecurities were going to kill her.”

She wasn’t crazy though, and he should never had put his hands on her. She realizes that now and she wants women out there to have the same epiphany that she had.

Watch the full video below, and if you or someone that you know is experiencing Domestic Violence please contact a local help center. The Woman’s Center in New Bedford is there if you or someone you love is struggling to get out of an abusive situation.

I thought long and hard before posting this video, this is very difficult for me but I have to do what is RIGHT, if you…
