Katy Perry and Taylor Swift are not the best of friends and students in the Fall River School System took part in "Law Day" playing the celebrities in a mock trial this week.

The Herald News has a great article featuring what went into Law Day in Fall River this past Monday.  Hayley Johnson who is in 4th grade at Doran Elementary School played Taylor Swift while Katy Perry was played by Brianna Raposo who is an 8th grader at Morton Middle School.

The pretend story being tried in a court of law was that Taylor assaulted Katy with a guitar over an argument the two had over their former flame, John Mayer.  She was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.  Johnson, who played Swift swore she didn't do it, while Raposo playing Perry was adamant that she did attack her with the guitar!

What is "Law Day"?  It's a yearly nationwide event that has been observed since President Dwight D. Eisenhower instituted it in 1958 to recognize the principle of the rule of law. This year’s Law Day theme was “Miranda: More than Words,” since 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of what may be the U.S. Supreme Court’s best-known case, Miranda v. Arizona, as quoted via The Herald News.

The kids had fun and so did the adults, case closed :)
