Fall River Bomb Scare at Hess Station Shuts Down Two City Blocks
Some tense moments in Fall River last night. A bomb scare caused police to shutdown two city blocks after the Hess Station on Pleasant Street was robbed at about 5pm. The suspect left behind a device and told the clerk inside that it was a bomb. State Police bomb squads were called in. The device was not found to be dangerous. Fall River's Fire Department told Fun 107 that the fake bomb turned out to be a computer motherboard with a powder-like substance on it. A 50 year old suspect is in custody, but has not yet been charged.
