They say you shouldn't always believe what you see on TV and according to a new medical study that is especially true for health advice.

A British Medical Journal study has found that TV shows like The Dr Oz Show and The Doctors are not giving viewers good advice and in some cases are making stuff up completely!

Researchers randomly picked 40 episodes of The Doctors and The Dr Oz Show and evaluated the advice given in those shows. According to their findings only 63 percent of advice given on The Doctors was actually based on evidence. Compared to the merely 46 percent of advice on Dr Oz being based on evidence.

That means more than half the time...Dr Oz is just making things up!

So next time you have a question about your health, definitely call and ask your actual doctor.
