Do You Use All Your Vacation Days?

February vacation week is coming up quick…will you be taking time off when your kids do?

For many parents, figuring out what to with their kids when school is out is tough. Whether it’s a one week winter camp or finding family members to hang out with them, for most parents taking the time off from work isn’t in the cards.

In fact for most Americans in general, using up vacation time doesn’t always happen.

A new study from the United States Travel Association finds that more than half of all Americans don't use all their vacation days. In fact over 662 million vacation days go unused in the United States every year!

So why aren’t people taking a break anymore? Why do we let these paid days off go unused year after year?

The study finds that most people often think 'why just take the day to sit at home…I’ll wait until I have a real trip planned.' And then that trip never gets planned and the days never get used.
