Dirt Bike Collides With Police Cruiser Leaving One Dead

After colliding with a police cruiser, the male driver of the dirt bike dies from injuries at St. Annes Hospital in Fall River this morning.

According to NBC10, early this morning the accident happened at Montaup and Slade Streets in the city around 1:30 a.m.

Police say the dirt bike was traveling without its headlights on when the rider drove into the police cruiser.  A second dirt bike fled immediately after the crash.

The driver of the dirt bike has only been identified as an adult male.

The two officers inside the police car during the time of the collision were treated for minor injuries at St. Annes Hospital and then released.
