Just a month ago, Saturday Night Live announcer Don Pardo passed away at the age of 96. With his death there will need to be a change for the man who introduces the stars of SNL. That man is former SNL cast member Darrell Hammond.

Hammond is well-known for his impressions, particularly that of Pardo, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and Sean Connery.  Pardo was the announcer for the first 38 seasons of the skit-comedy show.

He won’t be impersonating the legendary Pardo, instead he will be in his own character introducing the cast members that include Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, and Sasheer Zamata as full-time cast members.

The NBC skit-comedy has been going through a major set of changes over the past few years with a lot of cast turnover, with Hammond there it brings a familiar face to the set.
