In an effort to stop Coke's declining revenue and bad press over its soda products, starting in early 2015 Coke will start selling milk!

Coke's new milk isn't just the plain old white stuff, though. Called Fairlife, the new drink is marketed as "premium" milk with 50 percent more protein, 30 percent more calcium, and half the sugar of typical milk -- but it will have a higher price tag.

The new milk is presently being sold in test markets across the country and is expected to sell for about 65 cents higher then the milk that is presently in stores.

Coke spokesman Sandy Douglas says the milk “tastes better” than regular milk and is made on sustainable dairy farms with “high-care processes” and a “proprietary milk-filtering process.”

Much of America’s milk is made in controversial mega-dairies where up to 30,000 cows are kept indoors all year round. But Douglas said its milk will come from 92 family-owned farms, and Fair Life boasts that it will be “pursuing the highest standards of milk quality, agricultural sustainability and animal comfort.”

Experts are saying if in fact the new milk from Coke is what they say it is, it would be a better and healthier choice for consumers .
