Buzzard’s Bay Brewery Looking to Open Taproom on the Cape

Local beer lovers are going to feel more at home out on the Cape with the planned Buzzard's Bay Brewery taproom.

According to beardandbrewed.com, the Westport brewery is looking to take a taproom to the heart of Buzzard's Bay.

They plan to head to Main St in Bourne and from the sounds of things, it's going to a sweet spot to grab a beer.

The proposed taproom would be located just across the street from the Cape Cod Canal recreational area and is pretty close to the bike path there.

That means grabbing a cold one after a day in the sun in what the owner describes as a "relaxed atmosphere."

Sounds wonderful to me.

According to BeardandBrewed.com, there is still more work to be done.

There's permitting and licensing work to do plus the town wants to review water and sewage allocation for the site.

But if everything comes together there could be some tasty local beers out on the Cape.

They won't be brewed there however.

Brewing will still take place in Westport, but the enjoying of the beers can be your new Cape Cod staple.

Buzzard's Bay hopes to get things pouring by July with the help of one-day licenses.
