Where It All Started

Before Boston Pizza Cupcakes, it was 4 Corners Pizza in Newton. Since 1991, the family-owned and operated pizza spot has been serving pies with locally sourced ingredients.

“Our ethos is, good food with friends and family makes lasting memories,” said 4 Corners.

In December, the brother and sister duo Nyc and Natasha Chatzis expanded the 4 Corners brand to Legacy Place in Dedham in the form of Boston Pizza Cupcakes, where people cannot stop talking about their mini deep-dish pizzas.

So, What's a Pizza Cupcake?

This isn’t just a slice of pepperoni and cheese. Combinations like chicken and waffles, mac and cheese, and a twist on the Fenway Frank can be found on the menu.

A quick glance at their Instagram had my mouth watering. I’m picky about my pizza, but the attention to flavor and quality jumps off their Instagram grid, and I’m already mapping out the trip to Dedham to get my hands on one (or five) pizza cupcakes.

“At Boston Pizza Cupcakes, we’re not just about serving extraordinary pizza; we’re about creating an environment that buzzes with excitement and energy,” said the pizza joint online.

And don’t forget to save room for dessert. Dessert pizza cupcakes are also on the menu.

I think I died and discovered foodie heaven.

The Best of South Shore Bar Pizza

There's pizza, and then there's South Shore Bar Pizza. Birthed in Brockton (and to this writer, perfected in Randolph – Lynwood Café is the true G.O.A.T.), it must meet certain qualifications to be considered "SSBP," which include: it's a 10-inch pie; it has a thin, cracker-like crust with minimal "flop;" the cheese is a blend that features more cheddar than mozzarella; and bonus points if you take it home between two carboard-type plates wrapped in flat brown paper bag. They also usually come with "laced" or "burnt" edges (terminology depends on where you are ordering), which is when the sauce and cheese are extended all the way to the edge of the pan, creating a crispy, flavorful coating to the crust. We reached out to the hugely popular South Shore Bar Pizza Social Club Facebook group to ask the experts to share the best of the best (in no particular order).
