Once again, Zoom will be the platform for a series of programs about folks who are "Black in Business."

The forums are sponsored by the New Bedford Historical Society and Buy Black NB as part of the Black History Month celebration. The Zoom meetings will start on February 25 with a discussion about black women in business.

Business people from our area will be telling their stories about the difficulties they faced in starting a business, and how they overcame those hurdles.

The Historical Society's Rayana Grace and Justina Perry, founder of the website Buy Black NB, spoke with Townsquare Sunday this week about the forums and what the organizers hope to accomplish.

The interviews can be heard here:

Townsquare Sunday is an hour-long public affairs program heard every Sunday morning at 6 on 1420 WBSM. The program focuses on organizations and individuals working to make Greater New Bedford a better place to live.

If you would like to highlight your organization on Townsquare Sunday, please e-mail the host at jim.phillips@townsquaremedia.com.
