Tim Weisberg is the afternoon news anchor for WBSM, joining the newsroom in January of 2017. Previously, Tim hosted "Saturday Morning with Tim Weisberg" on the station for four years. Tim has been also been hosting "Spooky Southcoast" on WBSM since January 2006. He originally created the show, along with co-host and producer Matt Costa, to give the people of the SouthCoast a chance to discuss their own local hauntings, legends and lore. But a funny thing happened--the show has grown by leaps and bounds and is now one of the most recognized programs on the paranormal in the entire world! The show has been downloaded millions of times all over the planet. Tim has also written two books: "Ghosts of the SouthCoast" and "Haunted Objects: Stories of Ghosts on Your Shelf," the latter co-authored with Spooky Southcoast's Christopher Balzano. Tim has also made appearances on The Travel Channel ("Ghost Adventures," "Most Terrifying Places in America"), The History Channel ("MonsterQuest"), BIO ("My Ghost Story"), Discovery Channel, Destination America ("America's Bermuda Triangle") and LIVING TV in the UK. Tim is also a sports writer for The Standard-Times in New Bedford, covering the Boston Celtics, New England Patriots and local youth and high school sports. Tim is also an accomplished television writer, researcher and producer. He has worked on the Destination America series "Ghost Stalkers," "Ghost Asylum" and "Haunted Towns." Catch Tim's news updates every afternoon on WBSM and on the WBSM app. Spooky Southcoast airs Saturday nights 10 p.m. to Midnight.
