A few weeks ago,  Baylor University did a study and published it in the Journal of Behavioral Addictions.


It says that cellphones are a consumer tool and are also seen to be a status symbol. The Cellphone is eroding our personal relationships. For example, you kids using cell phones at the dinner table. The study also says materialism and impulsiveness drive cell phone addiction.

Numbers don't lie. Young adults send an average of 109.5 text messages a day or about 3,200 texts each month.  They receive an additional 113 text messages and check their cell 60 times in a typical day and one average, college students spend about seven hours daily interacting with information and communication technology.
