Apparent Suicide At New Bedford Waterfront Business

New Bedford Police along with State Police assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney's office are investigating an apparent suicide at a waterfront business in the city.

Police say before 10pm Tuesday night, a male was found hanging from a tree in the rear parking lot of Pier Fish at 68 Conway Street. The man's name and age is not being released at this time.

Gregg Miliote, spokesperson for the DA's Office, says the man killed himself after a fight with his girlfriend.

The investigation is ongoing.
