There was yet another accident because a teen was texting and driving, this time in Bridgewater.

According to WCVB, a Bridgewater teen was cited for not only speeding but also texting while driving after he admitted to police that he was.  His name is not being released because he is a juvenile.

Police responded to reports of a single car that drove off the road and into a ditch on Scotland Street in Bridgewater, which is a residential area.  The speed limit is 30mph and witnesses reported the teen was driving more than 50mph just before the crash.

West Bridgewater police recently cited 52 motorists last week during a sting operation to crack down on texting while driving.  "This incident is a strong reminder of the dangers of texting and distracted driving," police said in the statement, posted on their social media.
