If you loved the news that The Goonies is making a sequel, then you may get giddy all over again for the latest 80's movie adding on to their franchise.

Despite the passing of Harold Ramis is February, the long-awaited Ghostbusters 3 is officially in the works!

Ivan Reitman, who director the first two films, confirmed the news yesterday at a Bud Light-sponsored premiere party for his latest movie Draft Day saying

We're starting the meetings. We're going to do it, It's going to be really, really good, which is why it's taken so long."

Casting details are still a little fuzzy, though Reitman says there will be many people from the original cast.

As far as confirmation on Bill Murray's role (cause let's be honest that's what we all want to know), Reitman doesn't have much info, sharing that

All the other movies I made with Bill, he never told me he was doing it until … well, the longest was two weeks. Meatballs, he told me he was doing it the day before."

So it may be awhile before we know who's in it, but Ghostbusters 3 will be made!
