Mr. Li, a man living in China's Guandong Province, became an unexpected hero Thursday when a video of him, taken on a surveillance camera, went viral.

A one-year-old baby boy was seen falling from the 2nd story window of his home, and Mr. Li was there to catch him.

This man was only identified as Mr. Li and he said that he saw the baby on the ledge as he was passing by but didn't think too much of it at the time.

"I was just afraid of failing to catch him." Mr. Li humbly told Chinese media.

Other onlookers quickly set up soft materials to break the child's fall but Li was able to catch him before he landed.

I guess the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child" rings true!
