Looking forward to tonight's big Wing Eating Contest at White's of Westport. I'll be there hosting as police and fire departments from all over the Southcoast compete in some high octane, intense wing eating. It's a free event! So stop by to see the Fall River PD take on the New Bedford PD...the Fall River Fire Department vs. New Bedford Fire...and police department from Swansea vs. Seekonk, Attleboro vs. Taunton, and Dartmouth vs. Somerset.

There will be live music, March Madness will be on the TV's, and delicious food at the bar.

It all benefits the Children's Advocacy Center of Bristol County and their mission to help children who have been the victims of sexual abuse. The CAC coordinates response to child sexual abuse cases, helps families get services, and they have launched an education/outreach/prevention program.

Tonight's Wing Eating Contest kicks off April as child abuse and sexual assault prevention month. The CAC encourages parents to talk to their kids early and often about sexual about and how to avoid it. It also encourages parents to be careful about their choices of who watches their children.
