Who Should Pay The Bill on a First Date?

Years ago it was customary that the man foot the bill on a date. It was considered the gentlemanly thing to do. But now a study has shown that 51% of men prefer to SPLIT the bill on a first date. I'm assuming this means dinner, movie tickets, or anything else that racks up a bill.5% of men actually said they would prefer the woman to pick up the whole thing!!

What do you think? Has the times evolved enough to warrant a split? Should the men still pick up the whole tab?
